Eco fashion to me means supporting your local economy. Be it fashion, farming or anything else, we really need to support each other.

My Muse dresses are all made from bamboo right here in Vancouver, BC. Bamboo manufacturing process's are still in need of improvement but the fabric has numerous beneficial qualities for the wearer and the environment.

The processing of Bamboo fibres is actually more efficient than most. Bamboo fibres absorb dyes faster and more thoroughly than cotton, modal and viscose and provide better colour clarity.

Women are still wearing dresses they purchased from me nine years ago due to the sustainability of the fabric.

Retail shopping has been disrupted many times during the last Century; from the small rural country store, to Sear's catalogue, to large department stores, to shopping malls to big box retailers and now on-line.

This evolution has given the shopper more choice and cheaper products but at a price.

It is hard to find quality sustainable products that have been produced without exploiting resources or workers. Manufacturing practices are dependant upon consumer demand.

Fortunately there is a growing movement that recognizes value, quality and attention to detail; and wants to support ethical brands.
